Pag is an island in the north Adriatic, near the Croatian coast. It is the fifth largest Croatian island, and has the largest coast out of all of them.
It became well known for its Zrće beach, where spectacular parties with well known artists and party goers from all around the world are held during the summer. The most famous clubs on the island are Kalypso and Papaya, and they attract mainly lovers of electronic music. Many young visitors say “If you want to party with tens of thousands of young people, this is the place for you”. Because of this, the island is known as the “Croatian Ibiza”.
Very few islands on the Adriatic have such a big number of natural beaches. Wherever you go, you will come across one of these wonders of nature which offer you peace and quiet. Many of the island’s beaches are covered by sand, with crystal clear water, and good access to the sea. This makes them very attractive for families with children.
The island has two towns, Novalja and Pag. The island offers cheap buses that can take you to any of these destinations. If you want to go by car, all of the beaches are fully accessible and offer a lot of parking space.
Days spent on the island of Pag will pass blazingly fast with activities such as jet skiing or bungee jumping for those who are brave enough.
